“Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.” In many ways, that sentence could be the short version of my journey in art — and in life, for that matter.
To make a long story short: I am a Danish artist living in Sweden. I am a self-taught painter, working mostly with oil on canvas.
Creativity has always been a constant in my life, taking many forms over the years — music, graphic design, photography, video, and advertising.
I first encountered brush and paint when I became an apprentice to one of the old-school sign painters in my hometown. After a few years at sea, I returned to dry land and studied music, later working for many years as a music teacher.
Eventually, I moved toward a more visual path, working with multimedia design and production as an art director and freelance designer.
And now, here I am — once again with a brush in my hand. Perhaps all those paths were simply leading me back to the place where light, silence, and presence meet on a canvas.
